Hey ladies! (And some gentlemen!) Ever needed a salon and spa quality pamper day, but couldn’t afford it? Ever struggled with brittle hair and nails, or annoying acne, but the only thing you could do was spend a few bucks for a knock off drugstore brand? Well, don’t fret! Here are some awesome and affordable home remedies for beauty!
How many of you can agree that split ends are ANNOYING!? But can’t bare to cut your long, luscious locks?! And those shampoo bottles and conditioners are just a waste of your time and money, you’re literally washing everything down the drain. Why spend $16.00 on just one bottle of shampoo and conditioner, when you could spend $10.00 on four items?! Here’s a wonderful, healthy and rich remedy for your precious locks that will only take up 15 minutes of your time! All you will need is 1 organic egg, 1 fresh avocado, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, and 1 tablespoon of honey!
After mashing all the ingredients together, all you have to do is slab it into your hair! And after you do that, just put your hair in a bun and a shower cap over it and wait for 15 minutes to wash it out! But, if you’re like me and hate sitting around and waiting, here is something you can do in your spare 15 minutes while waiting for the mask to set!
Ever had tough luck and had a really big and special event the next day, and just realized you had an enormous pimple on your face?! I’ve had these days way too often. Luckily for me, and basically everyone who has toothpaste, can solve this problem! That’s right, toothpaste! I bet you’re wondering, “How does toothpaste have any relation with acne?”, well for your information, toothpaste can actually reduce swelling of acne and make them less visible!
All you really need to do is wash your face with your favorite cleanser, rinse, then apply very small dabs to your desired areas, wait for 5-8 minutes (or until it starts to burn). Finally just wash it off with cold water! But don’t forget to moisturize because this remedy tends to dry out your skin.
After giving yourself a mini facial, it is finally time to rinse it out with cold water and a cleansing conditioner, or maybe Wen (it works best), the just wait for your hair to air dry and voila! Silky, smooth, replenished and healthy looking hair! And to finish off your mini-at-home paper day, here is a very quick and easy repair mask for your nails!
I cannot stress enough about ugly, brittle, flaking nails! They are embarrassing and are the first things people notice about you! Or at least the I notice about people. Now, the reason why I said you can end your mini pamper day this way is because the last step is falling asleep with it on!
After distressing yourself, and enjoying a big glass of your favorite drink, is pretty relaxing and could put you in a sleepy mood.
For this last beauty at-home remedy, all you will need is vaseline/petroleum jelly and a pair of cotton gloves!
- Step 1 Slab on a layer of vaseline or petroleum jelly onto your nails and cuticles.
- Step 2 Put on your cotton gloves.
- Step 3 (my favorite): Fall asleep!
- Step 4 Wake up, take off your gloves, and enjoy your hydrated, healthy nails!
I hope you enjoyed this affordable, easy, and very helpful mini-pamper-at-home-day! I guarantee that you will see obvious changes!
